New issue of ODBRANA
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin met with representatives of NATO in Brussels and CSTO in Moscow in the previous days. The Republic of Serbia does not intend to become a member of the CSTO, as it does not intend to become a member of NATO - Minister Vulin said. The period between the two issues of Odbrana was marked with several important exercises of the Serbian Armed Forces. Members of the First and the Second River Detachments of the River Fleet and the First Demining Regiment of the Hungarian Armed Forces have performed today on the Danube River, from 1274 to 1276th kilometer, in the Banoštor - Čerević - Čerević ada region, a multinational tactical exercise in blocking and controlling inland waterways in the conditions of the current challenges and threats to security in the region called "Iron Cat 2017". In addition to the exercise of the Serbian and Hungarian sailors, the lens of the Odbrana magazine also recorded a multinational command and staff exercise "Cyber Tesla 2017" in which, besides our members, members of the Ohio National Guard were also involved. During the past two weeks, at the training grounds of the Serbian Armed Forces, the reservists were also trained. After a two-day training in the Sremska Mitrovica Barracks and the training grounds in its immediate vicinity, members of the reserve force of the First Army Brigade found themselves at Orešac direct fire engagement system, where the mechanized platoons conducted tactical live-firing exercises.
