Premiere of the film"The Second Life of the Kozara Boat"
On the "Kozara" special purpose ship of the River Flotilla, a film about its four-year rehabilitation and overhaul completed in 2012 was screened. Apart from the director of the movie Marko Nikolić and the employees of the Zastava Film, the ceremonial projection of the documentary film "The Second Life of the Kozara Ship" was attended by Head of the Department for Defence Technologies Major General Bojan Zrnić and Head of the Public Relations Department Navy Captain Petar Bošković. The film produced by MFC "Zastava Film" was shot for four years, as long as the repair of the most famous ship of the River Fleet of the Serbian Armed Forces lasted.
Expressing the satisfaction that the film premiere was organized on board, in the presence of a large number of people, not only from the world of film and ranks of the Flotilla, but also of numerous naval fans, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Ikonić, Director of MFC "Zastava Film" thanked Major General Bojan Zrnić, "with the help of whom the great work was completed not only for the repair of the ship, but also the simultaneous shooting of the documentary professional film on its reconstruction, as well as the members of MTI, TTC and the Apatin Overhaul Institute, who participated in its rehabilitation.
- The film certainly has a great value, especially for the professional public for whom it is intended. It will also be useful for crew members of this beautiful boat, the pride of the River Fleet, who will celebrate in 2019 eight decades since its launch in Linz on 15th September 1939, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Ikonić said.
On the occasion of the premiere of the film, the deputy commander of the River Fleet, Colonel Dragan Bojić, presented the director Marko Nikolić and the organizer Branislav Guzina with the monograph "100 Years of the River Fleet".
The "Kozara" ship is the pride of our River Fleet and the Serbian Armed Forces. This year, the ship and its crew were declared the best ship and the best crew in the Flotilla, which speaks enough about the Kozara ship and those who operate it, Colonel Bojić said addressing the guests of the ceremonial premiere, who, after the screening of the film, had the opportunity to visit all the premises of the ship.
