Defence minister extends greetings on the Day of the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble
I extend to all members of the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble my best wishes as they celebrate 26th September – the Day of the Ensemble.
On that day, in 1899, by an order of the Minister of War of the Kingdom of Serbia, the “Belgrade Military Orchestra” was established in Belgrade. For more than a century, you have been following the continuous artistic tradition of preserving and cherishing the soldiers' songs and other musical forms. Military musicians and orchestra have an important place in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. By selecting good repertoires, you have an undoubted impact in creating a system of values and tastes of the audience of both the military and the civilian public.
In the past period, it presented in a dignified manner the artistic being of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and you affirmed yourself as a quality musical collective. In addition to performing on the international scene, with the concerts you organize in cooperation with the local band from musical arts, you are a real indicator of the value of military cultural heritage in this field.
I believe that you will continue to successfully implement the planned projects and activities in the field of culture and traditions, both at the Ministry of Defence and at the state level, and to achieve remarkable results.
