No open issues with Kazakhstan

- Serbia cannot finance its cosmic programme, but it can, through friendly countries, come to concrete benefits stemming from cosmic programmes, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said after today's visit to the National Cosmic Centre in Astana. He added that there is even the possibility to provide our best students and engineers with possibility for specialisation within the cosmic programme of Kazakhstan.

- Nowadays, every country is trying to provide itself its own satellite or to provide the opportunity to get involved in the development of cosmic programmes for very specific purposes, from military technologies for which satellite connections are extremely important, to agriculture or ore exploration. All these are things we can do with our friends in Kazakhstan, to explore together and we can be part of a programme for which we cannot objectively allocate investments money, but through political connections and through good relations between the two countries we can find ways to be among those who are working on such important and sophisticated programmes, Vulin pointed out.

Speaking about Kazakhstan's policy on Kosovo and Metohija, the minister of defence said that he expressed his deep appreciation for the policy of that country towards the southern Serbian province and asked that, when deciding on Kosovo and Metohija, its possible membership in the UNESCO and Interpol, Kazakhstan keeps it principled position as before, complying with the international law, and consequently, being on the side of Serbia.

- Kazakhstan's policy on Kosovo and Metohija is truly principled, firm, and I was assured that it would not change in any way. The hosts wanted once again to express their support to better relations of our countries, i.e. to good relations of our ministries, as well as the development and cooperation of our defence industries. Of course, during the talks we reminded of the visits of President Nazarbayev to Serbia and President Vučić to Kazakhstan and the impulses that our governments received from these visits. Kazakhstan and Serbia are friendly countries, there are no open issues among us, and we can count on the highest political level in Kazakhstan, we have people who are with Serbia and who support better relations between Kazakhstan and Serbia, Minister Vulin said.
