President Vučić Received the Delegation of the Armed Forces of the United States of America
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić receivedtoday a delegation of the Armed Forces of the United States of America, consisting of twenty one brigadier generals and vice-admirals, who have been recently promoted to general ranks. ThedelegationisledbyretiredGeneralPhilip Breedlove, previous Commander of NATO Forces in Europe. ThemeetingwasalsoattendedbyMinister of Defence AleksandarVulin.
President Vučić said that it was very important that the high level Vučić US military delegation visited Serbia in the framework of a course of direct familiarisation with strategic environment in which they would discharge their new duties since every exchange of opinions contributed to better understanding and enhancement of cooperation.
Itwasstated at the meeting that the bilateral cooperation between Serbia and USA in the field of defence was highly developed and that it represented the best segment of the overall relations between the two countries with full acknowledgement of military neutrality of our country.PresidentVučić instanced the good cooperation with the National Guard of Ohio, pointing out that the cooperation carried out through the State Partnership Programme was also important for the peace and stability in the region, to which Serbia was sincerely dedicated and provided a comprehensive contribution.Duringthetalks, thesituation in the region was also considered, and PresidentVučić said that the peace and stability in the Western Balkan, as well as the economic growth, priorities of Serbia’s policy.
