The Eight CISM Training Camp on Kopaonik
From 9thJuly to 7thAugust, the 8th CISM Training Camp “Kopaonik 2017” is taking place with the participation of military athletes from the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces in athletics, military pentathlon, orienteering, martial arts (judo, boxing, kick-boxing) and futsal for women. Thetraining camp is going to be held on the 51st ski training field on the Kopaonik Mountain.
In the first part of the camp, military orienteers had a successful appearance in the international orienteering competition “Kopaonik Open 2017”, after which a five day long educational orienteering training camp was organised in cooperation with SD “Jasenica”.
Apart from daily training, two expert lectures were organised presented by Prof Sonja Radaković and Lieutenant Colonel Dr Nikola Čikiriz from the Military Medical Academy who familiarised the athletes with the methods of recovery in the training process as well as with athletes’ alimentation.
Attheend of the camp, from 4th to 6th August, the 7th CISM Challenge Cup competition is going to take place in Skyrunning “Kopaonik 2017”, where besides the team of the host, the teams to participate come from the Armed Forces of Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro.
On 15th July 2017, Head of Serbian Delegation to the International Military Sports Council (CISM) Brigadier General SinišaRadović visited the participants of the training camp and the competition.
The camp organisers are the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, and the technical organiser is the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to International Military Sports Council CISM. Therealisationofthetraining camp and the competition was supported by municipalities of Raška, Brus andLeposavić, MK Resort , PC SerbianSkiTracks, NP Kopaonik, Serbian Athletics Association and SD “Jasenica”.
