Chief of General Staff sees off members of the Serbian Armed Forces to International Military Games
Last night, Chief of General Staff, General Ljubiša Diković saw off the members of Serbian Armed Forces who early in the morning departed from Belgrade airport “Nikola Tesla” for Moscow, to participate in the International Military Games in the Russian Federation.
Wishing the competitors success in the forthcoming competition, General Diković underlined that it was a unique competition in which we partook fourth time in a row, achieving notable results.
-You have been selected, as the best in your units, to represent your units and Serbian Armed Forces as a whole. It is good that among you there are some experienced competitors and I am confident that you will worthily compete at the training grounds in the Russian Federation and show that the members of Serbian Armed Forces always aspire to victory! – Chief of General Staff pointed out.
- This competition is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate in an international environment how much attention we pay to training, how strong we are, trained and taught to use what we have in the best possible way. I wish you all safe journey, good health, soldier’s luck and a lot of success in the forthcoming International Military Games – General Diković added.
Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, Army Commander also attended the farewell.
International Military Games will last until 12th August at training fields in the Russian Federation, while the teams from Serbian Armed Forces will compete in two disciplines. A team of 20 tankmen of the Serbian Armed Forces, besides 18 other teams, will compete in the most attractive discipline of the games – “Tank Biathlon”, while the eight member crew will compete in the discipline “Field Kitchen” with the participation of seven more military national teams.
