Presenting awards to soldiers who voluntary served their military service
A part of conscripts who volunteered to serve with arms in the March-June 2014 generation were presented today a badge for a soldier on voluntary military service and Fatherland's Letter of Gratitude at the ceremonies at the Guards Club in Belgrade and at the Military Club in Niš.
Awards to the soldiers in Belgrade were presented by Colonel Snežana Vasić, Head of the First Division of the Department for Defence Obligations. The awards and badges were given to 48 soldiers from nine city municipalities, and the ceremony was attended by representatives of these municipalities, representatives of the HR Department of the SAF General Staff and the Training Command.In the Military Club in Niš it was for the third time that badges and Fatherland's Letter of Gratitude were presented to the March and June 2014 generations of soldiers on the voluntary military service with arms.
In addition to the soldiers who served their military service and members of their families, the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and local self-government. Colonel Dragan Kotarlić, Head of Department for Defence Obligations, MoD, presented the badges, and Colonel Nenad Marković, Chief of the Niš Regional Centre of the Ministry of Defence, thanked them. Sixty nine members from the MoD Regional Centre of Niš, Niška Banja, Aleksinac, Prokuplje, Leskovac, Vranje, Surdulica, Zaječar and Pirot received the badge and the Fatherland's Letter of Gratitude.
Congratulating them on their acknowledgment, and with gratitude that they decided to serve the military service with arms, Colonel Kotarlić emphasized that, in the forthcoming period, certain changes would occur in the process of their prompt admission to the professional military service.A badge for the soldier on voluntary military service and the Fatherland's Letter of Gratitude are military recognitions granted to soldiers after serving a military service for contributing to the protection and strengthening of the defence system of the Republic of Serbia.
