Inspection of Permanently Engaged Forces and Rapid Response Forces completes
The inspection of forces for intervention towards endangered facilities from a part of units of the Training Command and practice at Kovin Airport today, concluded the three-day, extraordinary and unannounced inspection of capabilities of a part of permanently engaged forces and rapid reaction forces of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The final exercise was attended by Chief of General Staff, General Ljubiša Diković, Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, Chief of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Department, Brigadier General Ilija Todorov, Commander of the Special Brigade, Brigadier General Zoran Veličković and Chief of Private Office of the Chief of General Staff, Colonel Stevan Kotarlić.
Speaking to the participants of the exercise, the Chief of the General Staff pointed out that the essence of this inspection of capabilities was to inspect the rapid reaction forces that should solve the initial tasks and create conditions for us to have the initiative in certain actions and to adequately respond to any security risk.
According to the Chief of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Department of the General Staff, Brigadier General Ilija Todorov, who is at the same time chief of the control of the part of permanently engaged forces and rapid reaction forces, the engaged forces carried out all the tasks in accordance with orders of the control from the General Staff.
- The goal of the inspection has been fully achieved. We had opportunity to see first-hand that the elements intended for performance of tasks within the rapid reaction forces were prepared, that the personnel was trained, and that the commanding cadre was ready to perform tasks in accordance with the orders - General Todorov said.
