Enhancement of Cooperation with Romania
The Minister of Defence, Zoran Đorđević met today with the Director General of Defence Intelligence General Directorate of Romania, Major General Marian Sima.
Đorđević and Sima pointed out traditionally good cooperation and friendly relations between Serbia and Romania and the two Ministries of Defence. The interlocutors agreed that the both sides are interested in further enhancement of all fields of mutual cooperation which should be effected during the forthcoming meeting of the Ministers of Defence.
Minister Đorđević thanked the Romanian official for the principled position of Romania regarding unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so called Kosovo.
Đorđević and Sima also talked about the migrant crisis and asserted that it was a common security threat, and that it was solely through joint actions and exchange of information that it could be kept under control. The Minister of Defence informed his interlocutor about the activities conducted by Joint Military and Police Forces engaged on securing the state border.
