Members of the Serbian Armed Forces take part in exercise Slavic Brotherhood 2017 in Belarus
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces will participate in the Slavic Brotherhood 2017 trilateral military drill to be carried out at the training ground of the Belarus Armed Forces near the town of Brest, from 6th to 15th June.
Together with members of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the Russian Federation, members of the Serbian Armed Forces will practice different segments of the exercise until 11th June, in order to prepare for its final realisation from 12th to 14th June.
The EXPLAN envisages the practicing of transport with a combat vehicle with overcoming a water obstacle, parachute landing, overcoming a water obstacle with landing craft, descending by rope from a helicopter, as well as the daytime and nighttime firing from small arms.
Slavic Brotherhood 2017 represents a continuation of cooperation between the airborne units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Special Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces, which was initiated by performing Srem 2014 exercise, which was carried out on the Nikinci training ground. In 2015, the exercise was carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation entitled Slavic Brotherhood 2015 and, apart from the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Serbian Armed Forces, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus participated in it for the first time. Last year, the Slavic Brotherhood 2016 trilateral exercise was conducted in our territory.
