Training of Reserves at the Communication and IT Training Centre
At the Communication and IT Training Centre in Gornji Milanovac, a fifteen-day training of the reserve forces for a company of the Mixed Signal Battalion is being conducted, as well as training for reserve teleprinter and cryptography specialists from the Territorial Force brigades.
The final part of training for the reserves includes today tactical practice of individuals in the composition of crews at the telecommunication stations with practicing of placing the mobile telecommunication-information center at the brigade command post, establishment of all kinds of communications, carrying out planned communications and realising traffic and working in different suppositions and maintenance of telecommunication-IT security.
A reservist Stefan Jocović, who is an electrical engineer for telecommunications employed in the Telekom Serbia company, points out his pleasure with the stay in the Milanovac barracks and the training.
— I did my military service 13 years ago, and I must admit that the conditions for life and work in the barracks are much better today. I renewed my knowledge acquired in military service and learned something new, such as the capabilities of new telecommunication devices that I particularly like. I am so glad I was reminded of military beans and socialising with "comrades" — Jocović said .
Stressing that the trainees are people who did their military service more than ten years ago, Commander of the Communication and IT Training Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Nedeljko Planojević, expressed his satisfaction with their motivation and attitude toward training, pointing out that the persons from the reserves took the importance of the conduct of this training most seriously.
Call-up of reserve on the entire territory of Serbia is to be continued in June. Communication and cancellation of a reserve mobilisation assignment has been planned which includes a simple and brief procedure in local-government centres of the Ministry of Defence. Fulfilling the requisition obligation, in accordance with the Law on Conscription, Compulsory Labour and Requisition, is reflected in calling-up the property owner from the list to be communicated the allocation and review of the things from the list, and it is going to be carried out in more than 20 cities and municipalities in Serbia in June. Conscripts in reserve forces who have done the military service under arms will be called up in June and July to one-day or multi-day military exercises according to special plans and mobilisation assignments.
