Enhancement of Cooperation with the Countries of Africa and Middle East
The Minister of Defence, Zoran Đorđević received today the representatives of the Embassies of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Namibia.
The talks were attended by Ambassadors of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria, H. E. Abdelhamid Chebchoub and the State of Qatar, H. E. Sheikh Mubarak Fahad J.M. Al-Thani, Counselor to Ambassador of the Republic of Angola Iria Ângela Da Paz Costa Santiago, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Namibia, Vasilije Bošković, as well as Defence Attachés of Algeria, Colonel Ahmed Boudra and of Angola, Lieutenant Colonel Adão Eduardo da SILVA.
Minister Đorđević pointed out to the traditional friendship between the Republic of Serbia and the countries of Africa and Middle East, and reminded of the commitment regarding their permanenet enhancement. He conveyed the orientation of the Ministry of Defence to intesify the bilateral cooperation with the said states in all domains of mutual interest and particularly in the field of military education.
In the spirit of strengthening traditional friendly relations, Minister Đorđević proposed modalities for the cooperation that would contribute to raising the level of the established reltions and the quality of dfence cooperation.
