Ambassador Chepurin gave a lecture at the Military Academy
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Chepurin gave today the lecture on "Russian-Serbian relations and views of the Russian Federation on security risks and threats in the world and Balkans” to students of the National Defence School at the Military Academy.
During his lecture, Ambassador Chepurin paid a special emphasis to the current security situation and processes marking the world in the last decade.
“The world, undoubtedly, has been changing from year to year, which attracts interest of those engaged in politics. Some problems are solved, and some arise and that has always been the case. Having in mind this moment, I can conclude that the time of the bipolar world lasting almost the whole 20th century has finished. It is now clear that the situation of the Cold War and bipolar rivalry is not possible any more, greatly shown by the development of the situation in Ukraine”, Ambassador Chepurin stressed.
In the continuation of his lecture, Chepurin talked about trends in economic policies of the great powers, challenges which EU faces today, as well as broader context of the conflict in Syria.
