Minister of Defence meets Ambassador of China
Defence Minister Zoran Djordjević has talked today to the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Belgrade, Lee Manchang, and the further improvement of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence.
During an open and friendly conversation it was pointed out that the People's Republic of China is one of our most reliable foreign policy partners with whom we develop mutually beneficial cooperation at the strategic level.
There was particularly emphasised principled support of China to Serbia’s legitimate efforts to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity in Kosovo and Metohija by peaceful means.
The collocutors agreed that the bilateral military cooperation is developing to our mutual satisfaction, in all areas of common interest, especially in the field of military-technical cooperation between the defence industries of Serbia and China.
The Defence Minister expressed special gratitude for generous assistance that the Chinese side offers for the defence reform of the Republic of Serbia, primarily through a number of valuable donations.
