The Meeting of the Minister of Defence with the Ambassador of Belarus
The Minister of Defence, Mr Zoran Đorđević, talked today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Belgrade, Mr Vladimir Chushev.
During the talks, the mutual satisfaction was expressed due to the signing of the Agreement on Military Technical Cooperation, which had taken place during the recent successful visit of the Prime Minister of the Serbian Government, Aleksandar Vučić to the Republic of Belarus.
The interlocutors agreed that in the period behind us, essential progress had been made for the enhancement of bilateral military cooperation in keeping with excellent overall and political relations between our two friendly countries.
The modalities for the further enhancement of the military economic and military technical cooperation of the two sides were particularly reconsidered, as well as the opportunities for intensifying cooperation in the field of peacekeeping operations and military education.
Minister Đorđević expressed gratitude for the support rendered by Belarus for the realisation of Serbian foreign policy priorities, and for our legitimate efforts to preserve sovereignty and territorial integrity in Kosovo and Metohija.
