Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff hold joint session of their collegiums
A joint session of Defence Minister's Collegium and enlarged Collegium of the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces was held today in the Guards Club in Topčider. The session was chaired by Mr Zoran Djordjević, Minister of Defence, and General Ljubisa Diković, Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff .
The session consisted of two parts. The first part discussed the key activities of the defence system and analysed the work and the achieved goals of organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in 2016. Among other things, they analysed the participation of members of the Serbian Armed Forces in multinational operations, maintaining operational and functional capabilities as well as logistic support to ensure the functioning of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
In the second part, the State Secretary, assistant ministers and the most responsible officers from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces presented the capital projects provided for in the 2017 Ministerial Guidance, and what was most discussed was equipping and modernization of the Serbian Armed Forces with arms and military equipment.
