New Year Concert of Binicki Ensemble
Stanislav Binicki Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence held last night the New Year concert in Smederevo Centre for Culture under the auspices of this town.
At the concert entitled “This is Serbia” on the occasion of Orthodox New Year, the popular work of Serbian traditional and folk music was performed, and the evening was completed by verse of the most famous patriotic and love poems of Serbian poets with performance of the actor Marko Nikolic.
Under the baton of maestro Vojkan Borisavljevic and Major Igor Mitrovic, in front of the audience in Smederevo, one could hear the songs of soloists Snezana Savic, Marko Nikolic, Ekstra Nena, Ceda Markovic, Danka Stojiljkovic, Rade Jorovic, Nevena Matic and Dragutin Matic.The songs “Bojarka” and “Kraljevo kolo” performed by Binicki Ensemble and the Ensemble of folk dances and songs from Smederevo were given a special round of applause of the audience in Smederevo Centre for Culture tonight.
