SAF render assistance to snowed-in population
The Army engineering units have been engaged early this morning in rendering assistance to population in eliminating the consequences of natural disasters caused by snow and strong wind.
The machinery of the 3rd Army Brigade is participating in clearing roads by helping the snowed-in citizens in the vicinity of Nis. The 6-kilometre-long route Hum-Leskovik has been unblocked and a few snowed-in vehicles have been drawn.
The engineering machines have been engaged in clearing the road communication in the Ground Safety Zone and the part of the state border with Bulgaria and Macedonia.
During snow disasters the Army units will be available for rendering assistance to population.
