Defence minister extends New Year greetings
I would like to extend my best wishes to all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbia Armed Forces on the New Year holidays.
Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces offered their full support to the strengthening of peace, security and stability in the region and took measures for the opening of certain chapters for our country to attain full membership of the European Union.
The previous period was not easy for us, but we had to respond to numerous challenges of various forms, as well as to behave rationally and as good hosts when it comes to solving economic problems both at the level of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and in the country. We have shown that we have high quality human resources and that we can enter the next year happy with the results achieved at all levels of command and control.
Thanks to your professional attitude towards work, your perseverance and endurance to overcome all the problems, you have shown that human resources are the most important link in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and confirmed that you had one of the most important roles in our community. The realization of the tasks of all the three missions of the Serbian Armed Forces was focused on the maintenance and enhancement of the operational capabilities.
The year ahead poses before us even greater challenges and a lot of work. One of the capital tasks will be to protect the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and participation in the security structures in the preservation of peace both in the region and more widely in Europe and the world.
I am sure that in the period to come we will manage to accomplish the planned tasks and fulfil the obligations that lie ahead. Wishing you and your families good health and the coming year to be filled with happiness and success, I extend my best wishes on the upcoming holidays.
