We should address problems in the defence system constructively, conscious of the restrictions during the economic recovery of the country. As early as at the beginning of the next year all employees will have increased salaries by five percent and there will be no lay-offs of employees. The new regulations on wages will apply from 1st January 2018. At the same time, regardless of difficulties and challenges, the members of our Armed Forces perform their tasks diligently and with a high quality and they deserve recognition – Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic gave a message summarizing 2016 in his interview for our magazine.
Air Force and Air Defence Commander Major General Ranko Zivak says that all activities concerning equipping and development of capabilities of the armed forces at global and regional level are followed, as usual, with great care and analysed, as well as all challenges, risks and threats to security of the Republic of Serbia. In his interview for Odbrana, General Zivak highlights that we are not running the race for armaments. However, we rationally develop capabilities of our Armed Forces to respond to all risks and threats to security, starting from the status of military neutrality and the assigned missions and tasks also.
Proffesions are recognized by uniform whereas armies differ by its colour, design, model and additional equipment. A lot is invested in their production, and development never ends. Uniforms are developed as the result of arms and military equipment improvement. Besides recognition they have a personal touch – they have to be suitable for users. The topic of this issue is about equipping with field uniform M-10 and modification of some of its parts.
