Defence Minister extends greetings on the military holidays
Greetings on the occasion of the Day of security services
I extend to all members of the security services my best wishes as they celebrate 12th November – the Day of the service.
On that day 1839 the Military Law was passed as the first legal document which definies in a complete manner the issues of security and counter-intelligence protection of the Army of the Principality of Serbia. Continuing a tradition of almost two centuries, despite numerous challenges in the work, with your professional performing of tasks last year you have confirmed that you have the ability and capacity to successfully carry out the tasks within your responsibility.
I congratulate you on your holiday wishing you to meet all future challenges with success thus ensuring stability of the defence system and contributing to the security of the Republic of Serbia.
Greetings on the occasion of the Day of the Military Security Agency
I extend to all members of the Military Security Agency my best wishes as they celebrate 12th November – the Day of the Agency.
Following 177 years long tradition of existence and work, since adoption of the Military Law which specifies in great details threats to the security of the army, stipulated acts and sanctions due to treason, breakout, rebellion and other forms of individual or collective actions and in a complete manner definies the issues of security and counter-intelligence protection of the Army of the Principality of Serbia, you successfully perform tasks in the fight against organized crime, corruption and other potential security threats proving that you are a key factor in security-intelligence system of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the entire state.
I congratulate you on your holiday, confident that you will continue to contribute to the improvement of the defence system security and affirmation of your Agency.
Greetings on the occasion of the Day of religious service
I extend to all members of religious service my best wishes as they celebrate 12th November – the Day of the service.
On that day 1839 for the first time religious service was introduced in the Army by passing the Military Law in the Army of the Principality of Serbia. After a long period of discontinuity of religious service in military traditions, religious service was organized and stipulated by Law on Serbian Armed Forces in 2007 with the aim to exercise the freedom of religion.
During past period you have demonstrated ways how to strengthen spiritual and moral values of the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, cherish military virtues and patriotism and foster civil responsibilities. Religious service has given a great contribution to the development, establishment, preservation and improvement of operational capabilities of Serbian Armed Forces by performing set missions and tasks.
Expecting that generous virtues will become code of conduct all of us in the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, I congratulate you on your holiday with a wish to successfully perform set duties and tasks.
