Balkan Olympiad of Arts and Dance Fest



Belgrade Dance Festival 2016In the Guards Club in Topcider, today, the Balkan Olympiad of Arts and Dance Fest has been officially opened, organized by the Balkan Alliance and supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
After the flag parade and a show parade of all competitors, opening this event dedicated to children and the play, Head of the Guards Club, Major Nevenka Darmanovic, on behalf of the host, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, welcomed the participants and wished every success to all competitors, and Major Damir Halimovic, from the Private Office of the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces presented the choreographers with appropriate gifts.
 
Prva Balkanska olimpijada umetnosti i igreAccording to the president of the Balkan Alliance, Eugene Trofimchuk from Moscow, in addition to the competition, the aim of the event is to develop friendly relations between nations preserving the art of contemporary and traditional dance.
 
At the event that is being held in the Congress Hall of the Guards Club in Topcider, from 28 to 30 October, the children and young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece, Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Serbia will be able to show their talent for dance and scenic appearance in several dance disciplines.
 
The main prize for the winners is the participation and representation of their country at the biggest international dance competition – the World Arts and Dance Olympiad in Moscow, to be held from 1 to 9 May 2017, with the support of the Russian Government. At this prestigious event, the World Arts and Dance Alliance has been gathering for 14 years more than 30,000 players from 43 countries in a large Moscow Sokolniki Park of Culture.
