Chief of General Staff meets KFOR Commander
Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic has talked with KFOR Commander Major General Giovanni Fungo today in Nis about the current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the cooperation of the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR.This is the first meeting of the two generals since general Fungo assumed the command of the international forces in the southern Serbian province in September this year.
Assessing the previous cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR as successful, General Dikovic stressed that KFOR must ensure safety of all citizens of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija. He said that the unilateral decision of interim institutions in Pristina regarding the status of the Trepca plant represents a threat to the fragile security situation in Kosovo and asked the KFOR Commander to take all measures for keeping peace and security of the citizens.
