Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff visit Joint Police and Military Force in Miratovac field

Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic and Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Ljubisa Dikovic have visited tonight joint force of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior engaged in the securing of the state border on Miratovac field near Presevo.On that occasion, General Dikovic pointed out that the task of the members of the Joint Force of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior is neither easy nor simple, but we can be satisfied with the work of both the members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the police forces.
-It is corroborated by the fact that we have deterred more than 12 thousand people to cross the border illegally and enter the territory of the Republic of Serbia uncontrolled. Much remains to be done and to try to improve, particularly having in mind that the winter season is approaching - General Dikovic said adding that the increased number of migrants is expected on the state border of the Republic of Serbia both with the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia.
According to him, the estimates are made on a daily basis and on the basis of the measures proposed by the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior and the Serbian Government, in order to protect the state border.
Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff agreed in their assessment that the Joint Force of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior engaged in the security of the state border and professionally and successfully perform all tasks with adequate preparations for the upcoming winter season.
