Defence Minister extends greetings on the Day of Anti-Aircraft Artillery Missile units



I extend to all members of the antiaircraft artillery missile units my best wishes as they celebrate 30th September – the day of the branch.
 
By your work and commitment, you are continuing the tradition of the gunner Radoje Raka Ljutovac, who fired his cannon at the German plane and successfully shot it down, back in 1915, and he entered the history as the man who was the first to shoot down an enemy aircraft with anti-aircraft gun in Serbia
 
Thanks to the professionalism, expertise, responsibility and competence of the members of your service, despite the conditions of slower technological development, in the previous period, you managed to preserve value and a promising development of the branch and set a high standard in the execution of the assigned tasks.
 
Convinced that in the forthcoming period you will continue to be a significant factor in the Serbian Armed Forces and the basic holder of firepower of the Air Defence and the maintenance and enhancement of operational capabilities, I congratulate you on your holiday.
