Defence Minister extends greetings on the Day of the Special Brigade
I extend to all members of the Special Brigade my best wishes as they celebrate 29th September – the Day of the unit.
A decade ago, Special Brigade was formed by combining the 72nd Special Brigade and 63rd Parachute Brigade, as well as smaller parts of the 82nd Marine Centre and Cobra anti-terrorist squad.
Continuing the tradition of commando, counterterrorism, reconnaissance, parachute, and diving units, in the previous period you positioned yourself as an important factor in maintaining and improving the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces. You prepare and perform special force operations at a high level and successfully contributing to building the capabilities of units for the participation in multinational operations. Exchange of experience acquired through successful participation in international exercises and seminars is important for maintaining and improving the level of operational capabilities.
Convinced that in the forthcoming period you will continue to achieve significant results in the execution of the assigned tasks maintaining a high level of security and defence of the Republic of Serbia, I congratulate you on your jubilee.
