Djordjevic and Jolevski on cooperation in the field of defence
Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic, who participated with the state delegation in a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Kaimaktsalan, met with Macedonian Defence Minister Zoran Jolevski in Bitola. The meeting was attended by General Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Ministers Djordjevic and Jolevski expressed their satisfaction with the achieved level of cooperation and readiness for its further deepening in the field of defence, especially in the field of military-to-military, military educational, military medical and cooperation in the field of public relations.
They stressed that the regional cooperation is one of the main priorities of the two countries and that the intensive meetings at the highest level as well as joint sessions of the two governments are, of course, the best way to achieve mutual understanding and strong connections.
Close communication is especially important during the emergencies, so that telephone conversations between the two ministers after the floods in the Republic of Macedonia and two chiefs of staff regarding the migratory crisis are indicator of the level of trust, the two defence ministries, Djordjevic and Jolevski, agreed.
Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic informed his Macedonian counterpart that he will attend the opening ceremony of the Permanent Organization of the Balkan Medical Task Force in Skopje on 5th October 2016.
